🥁 Drum Lessons With Me – Supportive, Fun & Totally Pressure-Free!

Hi! I’m a friendly, relaxed and patient drum teacher who’s passionate about making every lesson enjoyable, supportive and tailored to you. Whether you’re an adult learning for the first time, picking the drums back up, or a younger student full of energy and curiosity, my aim is to create a space where you feel encouraged, confident and excited to learn.

There are no silly questions in my lessons — in fact, I love questions. They’re the best way to learn!

🌟 What a Lesson With Me Looks Like

We always start by checking in — asking how your day has been, how you’re feeling, and making sure you’re comfortable and ready to play. Your wellbeing matters to me, and I want lessons to be something you genuinely look forward to.

From there, we move into some fun warm-ups and exercises I’ve prepared, followed by a bit of basic notation reading.

The second half of the lesson is where we really let loose: playing along to songs through speakers, exploring grooves, and building confidence on the kit.

Playing to your favourite tracks

Reading rhythms

Technique & coordination

Optional learning from books and grade material if you’d like to work toward qualifications.

Adult students are especially encouraged to talk openly about how they feel when they’re playing — their progress, challenges, and what they want more (or less) of. Your input helps shape our sessions together.

I teach with positivity, patience and genuine love for the instrument. Encouragement is at the heart of everything I do. I’m here to support you throughout your entire musical journey — at your pace, with your goals.

Flexible scheduling — I do my best to find a weekly time that works for you

24-hour cancellation policy

A full drum kit is provided at my lesson space (unless online or at your home)

Online lessons available via Skype or Zoom

I can travel across the whole Leeds area for in-person lessons
